Na próxima rodada, o Oeste vai ao Antônio Accioly, em Goiânia, enfrentar o Atlético-GO. Já o Brasil de Pelotas vai encarar o Coritiba, no Couto Pereira. Os dois jogos acontecem no dia 13 de agosto.

Os primeiros 18 minutos foram de domínio total do Oeste. O problema é que a equipe paulista tinha dificuldade em transformar a superioridade em chances de perigosas. Enquanto isso, o Brasil de Pelotas adotava uma postura defensiva e não dava espaço para infiltrações.

A insistência do Oeste deu resultado e os paulistas conseguiram furar a defesa do Xavante. Aos 19 minutos, Matheus Oliveira recebeu dentro e cruzou para Fábio, o atacante cabeceou, mas Ednei estava lá para salvar em cima da linha.

Dois minutos depois, Fábio teve outra chance. Ele recebeu excelente passe, mas faltou capricho na hora da finalização.

Aos 22, o Oeste foi recompensado pela insistência. Cicinho efetuou cruzamento, a bola sobrou no pé de Bruno Lopes. O atacante bateu de maneira inapelável e inaugurou o marcador: 1 a 0.

Atrás no marcador, o Brasil de Pelotas foi à luta em busca do empate e quase marcou, aos 24 minutos. Rafael Grampola recebeu belo passe dentro da área e bateu no canto, a bola passou raspando a trave.

O segundo tempo começou com Oeste quase ampliando o placar em cabeçada de Fábio, a bola passou lambendo a trave.

Mas o Xavante estava disposto empatar a partida de qualquer maneira.Aos 6, Caetano falhou feio ao tentar proteger a bola. Ela sobrou para Cristian que finalizou sem chances para o goleiro Luís Carlos: 1 a 1.

O jogo fica equilibrado e tudo podia acontecer. O problema é que aos 16 minutos, o melhor jogador da equipe Xavante, Cristian, foi substituído e daí para frente só deu Oeste.

Uma das chances mais perigosas criadas pelo time Paulista foi aos 26. Alyson ajeitou com categoria para Bruno Lopes que finalizou muito bem, mas Carlos Eduardo fez bela defesa.

Aos 29, em contra-ataque rápido, a bola é passada para Fábio que não consegue finalizar, só que a bola sobrou para Léo Ceará que chutou, só que Ednei estava lá para salvar o Xavante.

Aos 39, outra chance do Oeste. Só que Elvis não conseguiu aproveitar a oportunidade.

Hales was the most notable omission from the first practice match when Moeen Ali was preferred as Alastair Cook’s opening partner and Moeen proceeded to strike a 21-ball fifty alongside taking three wickets.Taylor, meanwhile, remains desperate for the chance of a run in the one-day side after his prolific domestic season while Bopara is aiming to regain the spot he controversially lost for the series against India earlier this year. Gurney is probably in competition with Chris Jordan for the final pace-bowling spot in Wednesday’s opening ODI.The impact of the weather on the early days of the tour does not bode well for the start of the one-day series although five of the matches have reserve days available.

كشف النجم السابق لفريق آرسنال، تييري هنري، موقفه من إمكانية توليه مسؤولية تدريب وصيف الدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز، يومًا ما.

ويُعد تييري هنري أحد أساطير نادي آرسنال، حيث سجل 228 هدفًا وصنع 103 في 377 مباراة بقميص الفريق.

وساعد هنري فريق آرسنال في الفوز ببطولة الدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز، مرتين، وكذلك كأسين للاتحاد الإنجليزي.

وتولى هنري، الذي كان مساعدًا لمدرب بلجيكا لمدة عامين، مسؤولية تدريب منتخب فرنسا تحت سن 21 عامًا هذا الصيف، حيث سيقودهم في أولمبياد 2024.

وسبق له أن عمل كمدرب لفريق موناكو الفرنسي، وكذلك نادي مونتريال إمباكت الأمريكي.

وسُئل تييري هنري، من قِبل الإنجليزي ميكا ريتشاردز، عما إذا كان يرى نفسه مدربًا لـ آرسنال يومًا ما، حيث رد في تصريحات نشرتها صحيفة “مترو” الإنجليزية: “سوف يتصدر ذلك عناوين الأخبار الرئيسية!”.

وأضاف: “يومًا ما كنت غبيًا بما يكفي لأقول إن ذلك حلم لأي مشجع، قالوا آنذاك إنني أريد أن أصبح مدربًا لـ آرسنال”.

وأشار ميكا ريتشاردز إلى مدرب بيرنلي فينسنت كومباني، والذي دعمه مدربه السابق بيب جوارديولا حيث يرى أن كومباني سيكون مدربًا لـ مانشستر سيتي يومًا ما.

وسأل هنري إذا كان الأمر نفسه مع آرسنال، حيث رد: “من الصعب جدًا بالنسبة لي أن أقول ذلك، لأنه عندما أقول شيئًا عن آرسنال، فإن الأمر يذهب إلى أماكن أخرى”.

وأكد: “لدي احترام جنوني تجاه أرتيتا، لقد قام بعمل جيد للغاية في العامين الماضيين، لقد أدركت أنه عندما يتعلق الأمر بالحديث عن التدريب، والحديث عن آرسنال، فإنني أحترم كثيرًا الوضع العام”.

واستمر: “وإلا، فسيتم طرح سؤال على أرتيتا (لقد قال تييري هنري…)، – لا تحتاج إلى هذا النوع من الأسئلة في مؤتمر صحفي، لسنا بحاجة للقيام بذلك!”.

In a separate affidavit filed on behalf of Jaipur IPL Cricket Private Limited, Shantanu Chari, the managing director of Royals, dissociated the franchise from the dealings of Kundra. Calling Kundra as an “investor” in the franchise, Chari said Kundra owned a 11% stake in Royals through his “family concerns” and not his own. Chari said Kundra family’s shareholding was the least among the four stakeholders that owned the franchise.
“Mr Raj Kundra was not part of the management of Respondent No. 4 (Jaipur) directly or indirectly and has never participated in any management decisions inter alia regarding the bidding of players, strategy adopted by the franchise for the games or any other decision taken by Respondent No. 4 in relation to its day-to-day functioning,” the affidavit said.

Raj Kundra, one of the co-owners of Rajasthan Royals, has said that he will hand over his stake in the franchise to the Supreme Court of India or anyone it appoints till the allegations levelled against him by the Mudgal Committee are cleared. Saying that the Mudgal report had “flaws”, Kundra said in an affidavit submitted in the Supreme Court on Friday that the investigation panel’s conclusions were “unclear and definitely adverse”.In February, when the Mudgal committee had published its initial findings, Kundra had “categorically answered in the negative” when asked about whether he had engaged in any betting activities during the 2013 IPL. In June the BCCI suspended Kundra from participating in any cricket-related activity pending the court investigations.On Friday, Kundra’s affidavit reiterated that “all aspersions cast on his actions in his personal capacity were completely false”.Reacting to the BCCI’s action, Kundra had said he would transfer “ownership” of his shareholding in Jaipur IPL Cricket Private Limited (the parent company of Royals), until such time that he was given a clean chit. “Applicant, being a man of his words, hereby agrees to transfer his ownership in the shares of Jaipur IPL Cricket Private Limited in the custody of this Hon’ble Court or to such person, as may be appointed by the Hon’ble Court,” the affidavit said.”He agrees that in such a scenario, he will receive back the shares, or any benefit thereof, only in case he is cleared of all of the present allegations. However, the Applicant clarifies that the above mentioned act is without prejudice and should in no manner be considered as an admission of guilt or as an acceptance of the Said Report. The Said Report has inherent flaws and the Applicant would crave leave to oppose the same by filing a comprehensive reply after receipt of all relevant information, as sought herein.”Kundra said the Mudgal report could not only severely hurt his relationship with the Royals management but also cause “damage to his reputation in society and casts aspersions on his integrity”.The final Mudgal report, released this Monday, said Kundra “was in touch with the bookies” but, by not reporting contact with them, “has violated the BCCI/ IPL Anti-Corruption Code”. During the investigation, the Mudgal committee also found that the “investigation against this individual was abruptly and without reason stopped by the Rajasthan Police upon receiving the case papers from Delhi Police”.Kundra said although the court had asked him to submit his observations or objections, he first wanted to get the materials on which the conclusions are based (presumably collected by the investigating team) or the discussions/analysis thereof by the investigating team or the Mudgal Committee (on which the final conclusions recorded by the Mudgal committee would presumably be based). “In the absence of the aforesaid materials and discussions/analysis, the Applicant is unable to effectively and fully exercise his right to defend himself by inter alia pointing out the errors and anomalies in the material collected by the investigating team or understanding/analysis thereof by the investigating team or the Mudgal Committee.”

But with Mahela Jayawardene unavailable for this match, vice-captain Lahiru Thirimanne said Sri Lanka’s top order has the chance to prepare for another rainy day, a few months in the future.”Mahela is a big loss. He is normally our backbone, because he strengthens up our middle order,” Thirimanne said. “But this is a good challenge for our younger players as well, because we have to replace him some day. This is an opportunity for them to show what they’re capable of. “Sri Lanka have drafted Ashan Priyanjan into the squad as cover, but the team manager confirmed that he is unlikely be in the XI on Wednesday. Thilina Kandamby, 32, is likely to play his first ODI since 2011 instead. With middle order spots still up for grabs in the short term, Jayawardene’s replacement will seek to earn a World Cup berth as well.But the exact team combination, and batting spots, will also depend on the weather. Normally every batsman goes through rough patches, but we want to concentrate on our bowling.”
