كشف الدولي الأوكراني، أولكسندر زينتشينكو، لاعب فريق كرة القدم الأول بنادي آرسنال، عن وجود عميل سري على باب منزله قبل انضامه إلى الجانرز.

زينتشينكو في صيف 2022 انضم إلى آرسنال قادمًا من مانشستر سيتي مقابل 32 مليون جنية إسترليني، وججز مكانًا أساسيًا في الجانرز بملعب الإمارات.

وفي حديثه لـ “Footballers Lives” عبر منصة “Tiktok” ، قال زينتشينكو: “جاء ميكيل أرتيتا إلى منزلي في يوم من الأيام، مع المدير العام”.

وأضاف: “أجرينا محادثة طويلة حول الطريقة التي يراني بها آرسنال وفي أي مركز، ومشروع النادي وهيكله، كل شيء، وبعد ذلك خرجنا من المنزل لأن الطقس كان جميلًا”.

وواصل: “أثناء خروجنا ضرب أحدهم الجرس، قلت آسف يا شباب، أريد أن أفتح الباب لأرى ربما خدمة التوصيل أو شخص آخر، وإذ بـ جابرييل جيسوس خلف البوابة”.

واختتم: “كان يأتي ويعلم أن أرتيتا في منزلي، قلت لا؟ هذه مزحة؟. لقد كان جيسوس هو العميل السري وأجرينا المحادثة بعد ذلك في وجوده وكان الأمر إيجابيًا جدًا”.

New South Wales assistant coach Chandika Hathurusingha has said he is not averse to considering a position with Sri Lanka Cricket, if the board approaches him as it seeks a new head coach. Hathurusingha had forged a reputation for clear, incisive coaching and a firm, even-handed approach, during his time as a coach in Sri Lanka, but he had his SLC contract terminated in 2010 for disciplinary reasons.Hathurusingha has also been highly regarded in Australia since re-launching his career there, most recently winning the Sheffield Shield with New South Wales this past season. He augments his state role by heading the Big Bash League’s Sydney Thunder franchise.”I am thoroughly enjoying what I have here in Australia, but just like players want to play for their own country, coaches also would love to work with their own country,” Hathurusingha said. “Working with Sri Lanka is something I would never say never to. I have played and worked with a lot of the players before, and I’ve kept in touch with them as well. I know what the set-up is like.”Sri Lanka have not been helmed by a local coach since Roy Dias ended his tenure in 1999, but in Hathurusingha’s time as the shadow coach in the national side there had been a groundswell of support for him to become the next head coach. In the wake of that decision, then-captain Kumar Sangakkara had gone as far as effectively recommending Hathurusingha for the head coach position in an impassioned letter to SLC that implored the board to keep him on staff. Four years later, many in Sri Lanka’s cricket establishment still believe he is among the finest candidates for the head coach role.Hathurusingha had not been formally approached by SLC, but suggested he had moved past the ill-feeling generated by his dismissal.”I don’t think talking about what’s happened in the past will benefit either SLC or myself. But the board knows better than anyone what I can do as a coach, because that’s actually where I started,” he said. “It’s about starting a conversation, which is what usually happens when it comes to these kinds of things. If that happens, something might come out of it.”In his letter to the board in 2010, Sangakkara had said Hathurusingha’s “technical and strategic knowledge was second to none of the foreign coaches I have worked with before” and that in the previous year, Hathurusingha had “out-worked, out-thought and out-shone the foreign coaching staff within the system”.Marvan Atapattu, who has been with the national team since 2011, appears to be the current frontrunner for the head coach job, after he was named interim coach for two major upcoming tours over the next three months. SLC is yet to announce that it will advertise the vacancy, like the board did when it was in the market for a coach last year. The board is on the look-out for a new coach following Paul Farbrace’s resignation last month.A steady opening batsman in his playing days, Hathurusingha played 26 Tests and was among Sri Lanka’s most experienced domestic cricketers, in possession of 10,861 first-class runs and 425 wickets.

أعلنت إدارة المسابقات برابطة الأندية المحترفة، لائحة عقوبات الدوري المصري الممتاز 2023-2024.

وأجرت رابطة الأندية قرعة الدوري المصري الممتاز 2023 – 2024، أمس الإثنين، حيث اصطدم الأهلي بالمصري والزمالك ببيراميدز في الجولة الأولى.

وأسفرت القرعة عن إقامة مباراة الأهلي والزمالك ديربي القاهرة، في الجولة العاشرة بالدور الأول، والسابعة والعشرين بالدور الثاني من الدوري المصري.

ووصلت أقصى عقوبة في لائحة عقوبات الدوري المصري إلى غرامة بلغت مليون جنيه مصري، وذلك في حالة اقتحام جماهير أحد الفريقين أرض الملعب في المباراة المقامة بجمهور.

Chris Gayle rated his monumental 333 against Sri Lanka as his best Test innings owing to the struggles he had endured against the team in the past.
“That innings stands out in my mind and I put it at No.1. Over the years, playing against Sri Lanka, I did not get a lot of runs. I had a terrible series there before – I was dismissed by Chaminda Vaas five times out of six – my highest score was 47 – and I was never dominant against them.”
“When I got the first century I lied flat on the ground and I told myself I wanted to make it a ‘big one’. I pushed for it and got the triple century.”
“To beat England at home, as captain was also brilliant. We had some close calls in that series and it was very special. That was one of the highlights of my career. Sunday will be another special moment.”

On Sunday, should as expected he plays, Chris Gayle will become the ninth West Indies player to feature in 100 Tests, joining an elite club that includes Shivnarine Chanderpaul, Courtney Walsh, Brian Lara, Viv Richards, Desmond Haynes, Clive Lloyd, Gordon Greenidge and Carl Hooper. Gayle is also within sight of another landmark – he is 67 runs shy of becoming the eighth West Indian to amass 7000 Test runs- and he admitted that he was raring to go on the “perfect occasion” in his hometown Kingston against New Zealand.”This is a huge milestone, this is very special and something I’m really looking forward to,” Gayle said. “It all started in Rollington Town – I used to play cricket on the street then I moved to Lucas Cricket Club and here I am today about to play my 100th Test match for the West Indies.”Now I’ve reached my 100th match and it is special because it is at home. Sabina Park is my favourite ground. It has changed a bit over the years and it’s very special to play cricket here at home with my family, friends and supporters in the crowd, I always love playing at home and Sunday’s match will have great significance for me.”I’m looking forward to it and I also want to have a huge performance. I’m sure the fans will be thrilled to see this occasion on television across the Caribbean and around the world. They have been very supportive throughout the years when I have had my ups and downs.”Gayle, however, insisted that the match was not only about him, and that West Indies looking to take an early lead against their opponents, having gone down 2-0 during their tour of New Zealand in December.”Hopefully we can win this Test and match and celebrate the occasion. I will look to contribute to the team and success,” he said. “The focus is on winning. It will be most memorable to get a win and start the series on a winning note. It is big not just for me but for the team as well – I am sure everyone will be rallying around me.”I have had my challenges coming up to my 100th Test match. To be able to stand here today I am very proud and I want to keep scoring runs and represent the West Indies for as long as I can.”Gayle, 34, made his Test debut against Zimbabwe in 2000, and though he has blown hot and cold over the years in the longest format, he has still enjoyed a productive career, collecting 6933 runs at 42.01 from 174 innings with 15 hundreds including two triple-centuries. Those heights, however, had seemed a far-fetched dream during his first game, where Gayle admitted he “cried like a baby”.”When I look back I have come a long way. In my first match I was a bit nervous, but then I had played a few ODIs before so I settled down pretty well. I remember it very well. I even shed tears.”To share a dressing room with Ambrose and Walsh – and being at first slip with the two big men bowling and hitting edges and me taking a few catches – was very good for me.”When I batted in the first innings I was feeling really good and was looking for a big score. I got run out in a mix-up with Sherwin Campbell and I remember going back to the dressing room and I cried like a baby. But I always knew I was going to get a ‘big one’. It was a special match and one I will remember for all times.”In recent years, Gayle has developed a reputation of being only a Twenty20 specialist, but Denesh Ramdin, the captain, quashed such suggestions, insisting that any team would be happy to have him in their ranks.”It’s great to have a player like that in the team who has achieved so much in his career, and he has no plans of retiring,” Ramdin said. “He wants to carry on and score more runs and centuries. He’s a die-hard West Indies fan, and always wants to win. Any team in the world would love to have him, and I’m sure he’ll put up something special once he gets a chance.”
