Pakistan seamer Wahab Riaz has credited the series he played against Australia A two years back as being crucial in his development and believes he will become a complete bowler once he has perfected his inswinger.”The great thing about that tour was that we were playing against a talented side,” Riaz told . “As a result, we also had to ensure that we were performing at a higher level and giving it our best. The thing is, when you are competing against a good side, you have to be more disciplined and you also learn to experiment a little bit.”Personally, after playing against a strong opposition like Australia A in their conditions, I started to gain more confidence. I remember that in the very first innings I was able to grab five wickets against them. Consequently, the confidence I gained from that achievement, I never let go of it and have never looked back.”Riaz broke into the Test side in the 2010 tour of England that was eventually tainted by the spot-fixing scandal, but he made an impact right away, taking a five-for at The Oval on debut. His stock ball is the one that is angled away from the right-hander, but he is now developing the one that moves the other way. “I have been working very hard to develop the inswinging delivery and it is coming along. While it will take some time to perfect, I know that once it is perfected I will become a better all round bowler.”Riaz is confident he can develop the inswinger without ruining his natural ability to shape the ball away. “I have talked to Wasim Akram too and he has helped me a lot. I obviously can’t develop deliveries and skills in just one month because for so many years, I have been bowling to my strength and sticking to basics. I know that people want to see the inswinger more often and God willing, this will happen. They [the fans] will have to wait just a little while longer.”Riaz was rested for Pakistan’s ongoing tour of Zimbabwe and that gave him a chance to play country cricket for Kent, which he termed “a really good experience”.”After playing for Kent, with respect to the English conditions, you learn that one has to bowl differently every day, and you have to adjust relative to the wicket and match situation,” he said.Riaz currently averages 9.50 with the bat from seven Tests, but is confident that he can make a more substantial contribution. “At this point, I still need to focus a little bit more when batting and improve my concentration,” he said. “I have been working hard to improve. Also, concerning my batting, the coaches at Kent have helped me a lot so when I play for Pakistan next time around, I will be a different batsman.”Riaz is capable of hitting 90 mph on a regular basis, which he puts down to working hard on his strength and fitness levels. “I have built up my strength and have also developed myself in this regards,” he said. “While previously I was fast, now, in English County cricket this season, I have touched 93-94 mph quite regularly [in T20 games]. I always take care of my fitness and give it my full attention and that I believe is the main reason for the extra pace nowadays.”In an era when many bowlers have chosen to give up one or the other format, Riaz is confident he can manage to keep playing all three versions of the game. “It depends on your fitness level and your determination – what you want to do. Twenty20 and one-day cricket is basically entertainment cricket, for players who want to play less so they can play for a long time. But in my view, Test cricket is the real deal. I’m working hard on my fitness, and god-willing I will try my best to represent Pakistan in all formats for a long time.”

وأضاف: “لدينا طموحات كبيرة في النسخة الحالية، بعد الخبرات المكتسبة لدى هذا الجيل من آخر مشاركتين مع الأهلي، ونتطلع للذهاب بعيدًا، وتخطي إنجازات السنوات الماضية بإنجاز جديد يضاف لتاريخ النادي المشرف في كأس العالم للأندية”.

وعن احتمالية مواجهة ريال مدريد وحديث الجمهور عن هذه المباراة، أوضح: “أي لاعب يحلم بهذه المواجهة، لأن البطولة تجمعنا جنبًا إلى جنب مع واحد من أفضل أندية أوروبا والعالم، لكن الحديث عن هذه المباراة المحتملة هو أمر سابق لأوانه”.

وتابع: “تفكيرنا الآن فقط ينصب حول مباراة أوكلاند سيتي، ونتعامل مع البطولة مباراة تلو الأخرى، ندرس الفريق جيدًا، ونتطلع لتحقيق الفوز للصعود إلى الدور المقبل، ومواصلة طموحنا في كأس العالم للأندية”.

Em comunicado, o jogador agradeceu ao Fla, lembrando dos difíceis momentos que passou como jogador rubro-negro e comentou a relevância das dores no joelho esquerdo em sua decisão.

– Primeiramente, gostaria de agradecer ao Flamengo, aos meus companheiros, à diretoria, a todos os funcionários do clube e à nossa imensa nação rubro-negra, por todo respeito e apoio, principalmente no momento mais difícil da minha vida. Aos 32 anos, o jogador atuou apenas em 38 oportunidades com a camisa do Fla e marcou três gols, todos em 2015, no seu primeiro ano de clube e quando atuou mais. Depois, sofreu com lesões e, em julho de 2017, foi diagnosticado com câncer no testículo, passou o segundo semestre em recuperação e teve o vínculo estendido até o último dia 30.

Recuperado e livre para jogar, Ederson foi relacionado em algumas partidas em 2018, mas sequer teve oportunidade. Apesar de pronto, ele não estava nos planos da comissão técnica, agora capitaneada por Maurício Barbieri, e por isso não teve o contrato prorrogado. Além disso, os altos vencimentos do meia eram um problema para a diretoria. Mesmo bem fisicamente, o jogador não rendeu o esperado e por isso mantê-lo por mais tempo ficou fora de questão. A cúpula de futebol até se reuniu para discutir o futuro, mas foi definido que o vínculo seria encerrado.

Além de deixar o Rubro-Negro, o meia-atacante informou que, a príncipio, estará focado em recuperar-se 100% das dores no joelho esquerdo antes de assinar qualquer outro contrato.

– Agradeço muito aos clubes que demonstraram interesse pelo meu futebol e que entraram em contato comigo ou com meus representantes, mas, nesse momento, preciso estar 100% antes de firmar um novo compromisso e voltar a fazer o que mais amo na vida. أصدر نادي ميلان الإيطالي بيانًا رسميًا للرد على ما نشرته تقارير صحفية بشأن انهيار المفاوضات مع لاعب الفريق رفائيل لياو، فيما يتعلق بتجديد عقده.

Ben Stokes, the England and Durham allrounder, will be out of cricket for around six months after undergoing surgery on his right index finger in the USA. He is expected to return to action for the start of the 2012 County Championship season.Stokes had picked up a complex fracture dislocation in his finger during a County Championship match between Durham and Lancashire in May and had undergone surgery then, but his finger failed to heal completely despite extensive rehabilitation and he was unable to resume bowling. In the meantime, he made his England debut, in an ODI against Ireland in August, and played four matches during the home one-day series against India. He was left out of the squad for the tour of India so that he could undergo the surgery, and will now be out for six months.The initial healing phase following the operation will be approximately three months and then there will be a further three months of graded recovery and rehabilitation. The lay-off means Stokes will miss England’s series against Pakistan in the UAE early next year.”My priority now will be to work hard on my rehabilitation over the next six months,” Stokes said. “I want to make sure I am fully fit and available to start next season.”

O técnico confia no potencial de seus jogadores, mesmo com o time sendo o mais jovem a disputar uma final desde 1978: a média de idade é de 25,8 anos. -O time de hoje é diferente do de 2016, porque 14 jogadores não estavam lá. Esses 14 jogadores novos foram integrados desde a final e descobriram como competição é boa aqui na Russia, então a experiência deles é mais limitada – disse Deschamps.

– É verdade que a Croácia tem mais experiência de clubes, porque jogadores atingiram maturidade e estão juntos há um tempo na seleção, mas nós enfrentamos times talentosos que tinham mais experiência que nós, mais jogos, experiências, óbvio porque temos um time jovem. Temos nove jogadores que estavam lá na Euro. Eles sabem bem o que aconteceu, infelizmente, como terminou. O que aconteceu há dois anos serve para aqueles nove jogadores para amanhã. Claro que queremos fazer diferente, mas só quando vive é que pode mudar a atitude e ver as coisas diferentes. A final é sempre um jogo especifico – completou.

Dentre os jovens, o de mais destaque é Kylian Mbappé, de 19 anos, jogador mais novo da França na Copa. Deschamps foi questionado se dava um tratamento especial à estrela, mas negou.

-Kylian é jovem, tem muito talento. Mostrou isso e provou várias vezes nessa Copa. Ele não tem tratamento especial, não dou tratamento especial. Tento falar o máximo possível com jogadores, ele faz parte dos 23, no mesmo contexto. Claro que por experiência sei que é importante ser mais carinhoso com jovens, porque a experiência não é a mesma, mas Mbappé é esperto, sabe ouvir e o que quer. Claro que temos pequenas discussões, mas igual aos outros, quando não digo algo positivo, é para o bem deles, é difícil quando fala no começo, mas é bom depois – analisou.

Deschamps pode fazer história neste domingo. Se a França conquistar o título, ele será apenas o terceiro a conquistar o título tanto como jogador quanto como técnico, repetindo Zagallo e Beckenbauer. Em 1998, ele era o capitão da França campeã em casa, e apontou diferenças entre as duas situações.

-Muitas diferenças. Precisaria de mais tempo para explicar, jogador é ator, técnico eu estou a serviço dos jogadores. O jogo pertence aos jogadores meu sucesso está ligado ao sucesso deles, mas eles que jogam. Quando joga, é lindo, porque dá energia, gasta fisicamente energia, quando é técnico é mais psicológico e uma qualidade mental que você precisa usar. É diferente – definiu.

O duelo entre França e Croácia será neste domingo às 12h (de Brasília) no Lujniki em Moscou. As equipes repetem o duelo das semifinais de 1998, quando a França venceu de virada por 2 a 1.
