O Corinthians vai anunciar nas próximas horas a contratação de seu oitavo reforço para 2017, que é o meia Jadson, de 33 anos. Departamento jurídico do clube e representantes do jogador campeão brasileiro de 2015 têm trocado minutas de contrato e acertado detalhes desde a manhã da última terça-feira, quando acordos maiores, referentes a salários, luvas e tempo de contrato, foram encaminhados. O jogador já realiza exames médicos em São Paulo na tarde desta quarta e tem chances de ser anunciado antes do amistoso contra a Ferroviária, na Arena Corinthians. Caso as burocracias não sejam resolvidas a tempo, Jadson será oficializado como reforço do Timão na quinta-feira.

Jadson rescindiu contrato com o Tianjin Quanjian, da China, no dia 16 de janeiro, e desde então o Corinthians trabalha para diminuir as distâncias e acertar a contratação do experiente meia. A pedida inicial de três anos de contrato, R$ 10 milhões de luvas e salários acima do que ele recebia na primeira passagem foi driblada após diversas reuniões. Como outros interessados também esfriaram interesse, como Atlético-MG e Grêmio, o Timão se animou e viu o jogador ceder em todas as exigências para fechar.

O vínculo prestes a ser firmado é de duas temporadas (a discussão sobre a possibilidade de uma renovação automática para 2019 é uma das pendências para o contrato ser assinado), com valor de premiação diluído ao longo do vínculo e salários nos mesmos moldes de 2014 e 2015.

O Corinthians deseja a presença de Jadson em Itaquera na noite desta quarta-feira, mas ainda não há certeza. O meia está em São Paulo, realiza exames na clínica do médico Joaquim Grava e não tem definição sobre a ida à Arena para ao menos participar das festividades de apresentação do novo elenco.

Antes de Jadson, o Corinthians anunciou as contratações de Jô, Kazim, Gabriel, Luidy, Paulo Roberto, Fellipe Bastos e Pablo. O atacante William Pottker, da Ponte Preta, tem acordo próximo.

Tottenham Hotspur right-back Serge Aurier is set to leave the club and reunite with Mauricio Pochettino at Paris Saint-Germain in a €20m (£17.2m) move, according to Italian journalist Rudy Galetti.

The lowdown

Spurs signed Aurier from the French capital in 2017 for a fee in the region of £23million.

He penned a five-year deal on arrival, meaning he’s about to enter the last 12 months of his contract.

Aurier has made more than 100 appearances during his stint at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Last season, he played 27 times, scoring twice and adding three assists. Two of those goal contributions came in the 6-1 rout of Manchester United at Old Trafford.

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has marvelled at the Ivorian, describing him as ‘so good and so fast’.

The latest

Galetti reports that Aurier ‘will be’ returning to PSG and working under Pochettino once again.

That’s after the French runners-up tabled an offer of €20million for his services.

Intriguingly, he adds that PSG’s proposed move for Inter Milan’s Achraf Hakimi now becomes ‘more complicated’.

Spurs’ rivals Chelsea have also been credited with an interest in Hakimi and may be encouraged to make a move knowing that a potential other suitor have eyes on another target.

The verdict

Aurier has lacked consistency in his performances at Spurs, and fans must always have been slightly concerned when he set foot on the pitch.

Still, €20million would be a very good return for a player close to the end of his deal, and they could put it towards a new name.

Matt Doherty, an alternative option, didn’t do enough in his first season at the club to suggest he merits a first-choice role, so Spurs still need to address this problem position.

Liverpool have been linked with a move for Sassuolo winger Domenico Berardi after another impressive season in Serie A.

What’s the story?

According to Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport (as reported by the Liverpool Echo), the Reds are monitoring the 26-year-old’s situation, with a possible bid being prepared.

The report claims that fellow Premier League outfit Tottenham Hotspur are also interested in snapping up Berardi this summer, meaning Jurgen Klopp may have to move quickly in order to secure his man.

The 6 ft forward has carried his fine club form onto the international stage, becoming one of Roberto Mancini’s standout performers in the group stage of the European Championship, with two assists in two games for the unbeaten Italian side leading The Guardian’s Nicky Bandini to say that he, and his club teammate Manuel Locatelli, have been at the heart of the revitalisation of Italy.

He’s been a highly-rated talent in his homeland for many years despite not featuring for one of Italian football’s biggest teams, drawing praise from former AC Milan and Italy coach Arrigo Sacchi back in 2014.

“Berardi is a player of great talent, a modern footballer who plays for the team all over the field,” said Sacchi. “He has liveliness, intuition, temperament, and strength combined with a good technique.”

A failed two-year stint at Juventus saw Berardi fail to make a single appearance for the Old Lady, spending the entirety of his time back on loan at Sassuolo, but he’s continually been linked with another exit since.

At 26, the pacey gem may think it’s the right time to take the next step in his career, and Liverpool’s director of football Michael Edwards could discover the club’s new Mohamed Salah with a swoop over the coming months.

The Eygpt international has fired the Reds to Champions League and Premier League glory since making his switch from Serie A outfit Roma four seasons ago, and Berardi could have a similar impact.

He’s contributed to 172 goals in 291 games for his boyhood club to date, highlighting the star quality he possesses. And he could become the next attacking talent from Italian football to steer Klopp’s charges to major trophies next season.

O Flamengo conquistou sua quarta vitória em quatro jogos na temporada, na noite desta quarta-feira, no Estádio Mané Garrincha, em Brasília. O Rubro-Negro venceu os reservas do Grêmio, por 2 a 0, na estreia de ambas as equipes pela Primeira Liga. O atacante Orlando Berrío mostrou ter estrela e fez um gol na sua estreia oficial pelo clube carioca. Everton abriu o placar.

Apoiado por grande parte da torcida presente ao Mané Garrincha, o Flamengo partiu para cima do Grêmio logo no início do jogo. O Rubro-Negro criou duas boas chances de gol nos três primeiros minutos. O Tricolor Gaúcho demorou a se encontrar em campo e não conseguia criar lances de perigo para Alex Muralha.Com o decorrer do jogo, os visitantes passaram a ter mais posse de bola. No entanto, o time de Zé Ricardo continuou superior.

O Flamengo quase abriu o placar aos 37 minutos, quando o goleiro Bruno Grassi falhou feio, duas vezes seguidas. Guerrero, porém, vacilou na cara do gol e perdeu uma chance clara.

Com a vantagem de 2 a 0 no placar, o Rubro-Negro apenas administrou a vantagem até o apito final. O Grêmio tentou diminuir e teve um gol bem anulado pela arbitragem. No fim das contas, a vitória do Flamengo foi merecida. A equipe carioca controlou a partida.

O Cruzeiro anunciou a renovação de contrato de dois atletas importantes no atual plantel de Mano Menezes. Por meio do Twitter, o vice-presidente de futebol, Bruno Vicintin, informou que o volante Henrique e o zagueiro Manoel firmaram novos vínculos com o clube. Pelo site oficial do Cruzeiro, Vicintin também não escondeu seu entusiasmo.

O novo vínculo de Henrique com o Cruzeiro é válido até dezembro de 2019. Já Manoel estendeu sua ligação com o clube até o final de 2020.

– Ficamos muito felizes com a confiança dos atletas. Eles sabem que o Cruzeiro é a casa deles.
