تسببت الإصابات والأداء الذي ظهر به الدولي الإسباني داني كارفاخال، ظهير أيمن ريال مدريد، في صداع للمدرب الإيطالي كارلو أنشيلوتي، المدير الفني للنادي الملكي.

كارفاخال على مدار العامين الماضيين، تعرض لأكثر من إصابة عضلية، مما جعل أنشيلوتي وسلفه زين الدين زيدان، يعتمدان على لاعبين آخرين في مركز الظهير الأيمن، مثل لوكاس فاسكيز، ناتشو فرنانديز، بجانب فيدي فالفيردي.

الاعتماد على فاسكيز أو ناتشو فضلًا عن فالفيردي، لم يكن مفيدًا على الإطلاق لريال مدريد في مركز الظهير الأيمن، مما جعل مدرب الفريق، أنشيلوتي يطلب من رئيس النادي فلورنتينو بيريز، العثور على ظهير أيمن آخر للتعاقد معه؛ وفقًا لما ذكرته شبكة “elnacional” الإسبانية.

وأشارت الشبكة إلى أن أداء الدولي الفرنسي نوردي موكيلي، الظهير الأيمن لنادي لايبزيج الألماني، لفت أنظار بيريز والمسؤولين داخل ريال مدريد.

موكيلي انتقل إلى لايبزيج قبل أربعة أعوام في 2018 قادمًا من مونبيليه الفرنسي، وظهر بشكل جيد مع الفريق الألماني.

وأوضحت الشبكة أنه بمتابعة ريال مدريد للاعب خلال الفترة الماضية، تبين أنه نضج بما يكفي لتحقيق قفزة في مسيرته والانتقال إلى نادٍ كبير مثل ريال مدريد.

نوردي موكيلي لديه عقد ينتهي مع لايبزيج بعد عامين، في 30 يونيو 2023، وقيمته السوقية تبلغ 25 مليون يورو، لذا يُعد بمثابة خيار جيد لريال مدريد.

Everton’s academy graduate Beni Baningime is in a fight to save his Goodison Park career after another summer window saw the midfielder’s proposed loan transfer collapse.

What’s the word?

Baningime has seemingly forever been a man on the cusp of breaking into the first-team at Goodison Park since his senior debut against Leicester City during David Unsworth’s spell as caretaker manager in late 2017, only to be left in the youth ranks as others arrive.

Idrissa Gana Gueye’s move to Paris Saint-Germain could have freed the 22-year-old to step up to the first-team squad, but instead saw Fabian Delph come in from Manchester City and struggle on the back of his £10million move and Jean-Phillipe Gbamin endure a season-ending injury two games into his Blues career.

Yet for Baningime, his last of 12 senior outings still remains a 21-minute cameo against Swansea City in April 2018, and now finds Allan and Abdoulaye Doucoure ahead of his name in the pecking order after Marcel Brands struck £21.7m and £20m deals for the pair.

The Brazilian and Frenchman’s arrivals could have come with Baningime departing on loan, but a deal to join Blackpool fell through in August despite the two clubs coming close to agreeing on terms.

Baningime had hoped that the chance to join the Seasiders would offer him an opportunity to kick-start a career already blighted by failed moves, after seeing a potential transfer to Denmark fade away in 2019 too.

Now, he faces another three-months in the Under 23s if Brands cannot secure a late loan deal before the window between Premier League and EFL clubs slams shut on October 16. And failing to secure a move could prove costly for the DR Congo national’s chances of ever making it at Goodison Park.

Last chance saloon

Baningime’s potential was there for Unsworth to see when the U23s boss was offered the first-team role on a caretaker basis, he even labelled him “terrific.” But each manager since – be it Sam Allardyce, Marco Silva or now Carlo Ancelotti – has seemingly failed to see that same skill.

As such, they have all strived to acquire their own midfield targets and left Baningime waiting for his chance in the youth fold, and one that never seems to be forthcoming any longer unless it is to make up the numbers on the bench.

A loan move, even to a League One side, would have offered the 22-year-old a chance to play regular senior football and display his real potential in the game. And if that was not good enough for Ancelotti, Baningime would have had more to show other potential suitors next summer when he will have just a year remaining on his Everton contract.

The clock is ticking for Brands to secure a move in the coming week.

أجويرو جاء من أمريكا اللاتينية في 2006 وانتقل إلى أتلتيكو مدريد، وتألق مع الروخي بلانكوس، مما جعله محط أنظار ريال مدريد، ورئيسه فلورنتينو بيريز، لكن الأرجنتيني انتقل إلى مانشستر سيتي في 2011 مقابل 40 مليون يورو.

وقالت الصحيفة في تقريرها: “في الواقع أجويرو كان على بُعد خطوة واحدة فقط من ريال مدريد في الصيف الذي انتهى به المطاف بالانتقال إلى مانشستر سيتي، وأرقامه بإحراز 101 هدف و48 تمريرة حاسمة في 234 مباراة لم تمر مرور الكرام من قبل رئيس ريال مدريد”.

وأضافت: “بيريز رأى فرصة لضم الأرجنتيني ليشكل ثنائي مع كريستيانو رونالدو في هوسه لإنهاء هيمنة برشلونة مع بيب جوارديولا، واتصل فلورنتينو بالمدير العام لنادي أتلتيكو مدريد، ميجيل أنخيل مارين وعرض 45 مليون يورو (قيمة الشرط الجزائي في عقده) لضم أجويرو”.

وأوضحت الصحيفة سبب فشل الصفقة، قائلة: “لكن رد فعل أتلتيكو وريال مدريد كان قويًا، حتى أن أنخيل مارين تلقى تهديدات على جدران منزله”.

وتابعت: “نظرًا لأن التنافس بين الناديين يمكن أن يصل إلى أقصى درجات الخطورة، لم يقتصر دور أتلتيكو على إغلاق الأمر فحسب، بل وقّع جيل مارين وفلورنتينو اتفاقية ما زالت قائمة حتى الآن، تنص على ألا يلمس أي فريق بموجب هذه الاتفاقية لاعبين من الفريق الآخر، سواء من الفريق الأول أو من الفئات الأدنى”.

وأكملت الصحيفة: “انتهى الأمر في النهاية بانتقال أجويرو إلى مانشستر سيتي، والآن النجم الأرجنتيني سيستأنف تنافسه القديم مع ريال مدريد”.

أجويرو لم يسبق له من قبل تحقيق الفوز على ريال مدريد، خلال مسيرته مع أتلتيكو مدريد ومانشستر سيتي، ومباراة الأحد ستكون فرصة الأرجنتيني لكسر عقدته ضد النادي الملكي.

يُذكر، أن ريال مدريد وأتلتيكو مدريد، سبق وقاما بكسر الاتفاقية في مناسبتين، عندما وافق أتلتيكو مدريد على بيع ثيو هرنانديز إلى الريال في 2017، كما وافق الملكي قبل ثلاثة أعوام على بيع ماركوس يورينتي للأتلتي في 2019.

There’s surely no doubting that these past couple of months have been among the greatest in Aston Villa’s recent Premier League history.

Dean Smith’s side survived relegation back to the Championship on the final day last season, and then embarked on an exciting spending spree that has seen them start the new campaign like a house on fire, with three wins from three, and sitting pretty in second.

The one new boy who has yet to really break into the starting eleven on a regular basis early on, is Bertrand Traore. The Burkina Faso international arrived from French giants Lyon, and has played just nine minutes of Premier League football thus far.

But when the 25-year-old does get fit and firing eventually, Smith will have a big call to make in terms of who Traore comes into his starting line-up for.

And that’s where things could spell trouble for Trezeguet. The Egyptian wing wizard has started all three of Villa’s opening Premier League games, and has arguably been the least influential of the side’s attack, failing to score at all and picking up one assist.

Despite being able to play on the left-hand side, the 44-cap international has mainly featured off the right this season – the position Traore has seemed to be most comfortable in during his career.

Competition for places is always a good thing for keeping players on their toes and ensuring they don’t take their foot off the gas, but inevitably, there will be casualties.

Trezeguet’s place in Villa folklore is already secured after bagging that crucial winner against Arsenal in the final weeks of last season, but Traore’s big-money arrival surely sees his place most under threat, given that Jack Grealish and Ollie Watkins are highly unlikely to be shifted out.

Smith has never shied away from praising Trezeguet for his performances, saying this after his match-winning display against Crystal Palace: “His attitude is spot on, he worked his socks off and he deserved his goals. Trez has earned his place for his performances and is starting to look a player accustomed to play in the Premier League.”

And speaking last summer, Smith revealed the process behind actually signing the winger: “Trezeguet, for example, myself and Suso went out to Egypt to watch him in the AFCON and we spoke to him. He’s got a real hunger and desire to prove to everyone that he’s a Premier League player. He’s fitted in very well so far, he knows Elmo already so the integration has been quite easy.”

What’s clear is that it will be an interesting battle between Traore and Trezeguet for that starting spot on the right-hand side, but if the former can get to full fitness quickly, then the Egyptian may be sitting on the substitutes bench sooner rather than later.

Do jeito que a Fiel gosta, foi mais sofrido do que o esperado. Mas o Corinthians fez o suficiente para se tornar o “campeão dos campeões”. Com gols de Claudinei e Vagner Love (este último vice-artilheiro do Brasileirão com 14 tentos), Timão e Avaí empataram em 1 a 1, na Arena Corinthians, neste domingo, pela última rodada do Campeonato Brasileiro. Com o resultado, o Alvinegro chegou aos 81 pontos, passou o Cruzeiro de 2014 e tornou-se o campeão com mais pontos na história dos pontos corridos com 20 clubes. Já o Avaí não conseguiu escapar da degola e acabou rebaixado à Série B.

O primeiro tempo foi marcado por superioridade total do Corinthians e muita cera dos jogadores do Avaí (principalmente do goleiro Vagner). A pressão alvinegra, no entanto, não resultou em muitas chances de gol. Sem seus principais armadores (Jadson suspenso e Renato Augusto poupado), o Timão encontrou as melhores oportunidades pelas laterais. Pela lateral direita, mais precisamente.

Primeiro foi a vez de Fagner fazer bela jogada pela direita e encontrar Elias se infiltrando na grande área. O volante, com um toque rápido, deixou Malcom de frente para Vagner. O atacante, sem muito ângulo, bateu, e o goleiro do Avaí defendeu. A outra chance também começou com o lateral-direito, que arrancou, ganhou espaço e cruzou. Vagner Love resvalou de cabeça, e a bola passou tirando tinta da trave direita dos visitantes.

Na segunda etapa, o cenário parecia se repetir. Logo no início, Elias rolou para Rodriguinho, que abriu caminho em meio à zaga adversária e bateu para fora. Mal sabiam Rodriguinho e os mais de 43 mil corintianos que a oportunidade desperdiçada seria sentida na forma de castigo minutos depois…

Em uma das poucas finalizações dos visitantes ao longo da partida, Cássio nada pode fazer para evitar o tento. Aos 11 minutos, um cruzamento de Nino Paraíba, em conjunto com falha de posicionamento do setor defensivo alvinegro, encontrou o volante Claudinei em condições de cabecear e estufar as redes do Corinthians.

Atrás no marcador (acontecimento raríssimo em Itaquera), o Corinthians passou por alterações. Danilo, Bruno Henrique e Romero entraram nas vagas de Lucca, Ralf e Rodriguinho. Mais agudo nas chegadas ofensivas, o Timão superou a retranca (e a cera) do Avaí.

Elias arrancou em direção à grande área e encontrou Danilo entre os defensores rivais. O meia sofreu um princípio de desarme, mas a bola sobrou para Vagner Love. O Artilheiro do Amor precisou de um toque para vencer o xará, balançar as redes e correr para os braços da Fiel (literalmente).

O empate não foi o resultado que a Fiel esperava, mas foi o suficiente para selar a melhor campanha de um time no Brasileirão de pontos corridos com 20 clubes. Pior para o Avaí, que acabou rebaixado à Série B.

Em busca de um zagueiro, o Palmeiras fez uma sondagem recente ao zagueiro Edu Dracena, do rival Corinthians. O veterano de 33 anos, que deixou o Santos no início da temporada, tem vínculo com o Timão até o fim de 2016.

A diretoria alvinegra foi informada da procura e não deseja perder o atleta. O Corinthians vê risco de perder Felipe, titular da defesa, e não quer correr o risco de sofrer mais uma baixa no setor. O Palmeiras também crê que a transferência é muito difícil.

O Palmeiras está atrás de reforços para a defesa. O clube tem estudado opções no mercado e, além do jogador corintiano, o zagueiro Luisão, que está no Benfica (POR), também foi analisado no Verdão. Embora o nome agrade, as conversas não avançaram, já que o defensor de 34 anos tem contrato até o meio de 2017 com o clube português e as partes a princípio não se mostram dispostas a negociar.

Da dupla de zaga titular, Vitor Hugo renovou seu contrato até agosto de 2020, e Jackson ainda tem seu futuro incerto: o clube não irá comprar os 40% de seus direitos, como definido no acordo por empréstimo, mas ainda pensa em uma forma de mantê-lo. There could be as many as three changes to the side that rocked Leeds United at Elland Road on Monday night.

Summer signing Marcal is in line to reclaim his starting place at left wing-back despite Romain Saiss deputising impressively in recent games, though the Morrocan utility make keeps his place as a centre-back.

That could come at the expense of Max Kilman, perhaps unfairly after picking up a Man of the Match award but he is still only young. It means skipper Conor Coady, Willy Boly, Nelson Semedo and shot-stopper Rui Patricio all keep their places.

There could also be another change in midfield with Ruben Neves coming in to partner Joao Moutinho, he replaces Leander Dendoncker in the two-man engine room.

Whilst in the attack, Raul Jimenez will be the first name on the teamsheet but there’s a decision to make behind him. There are two places for three worthy players.

Daniel Podence could well remain in the starting XI despite being withdrawn during the second half earlier in the week, but £36m-rated sensation Adama Traore gets the nod over Pedro Neto this time around.

Wolves scored within five minutes of the newly-capped Spain international coming on, so it would make sense to start him from the off.

Promotion to the Premier League is always exciting, but there is always a dark side to going up.

Indeed, as you ascend to the top-flight, the team needs to evolve and adapt and that often means some fan favourites missing out on the chance to play Premier League football.

In Leeds United’s case, they had to make a cut-throat call on Barry Douglas, sending him out on loan to Blackburn Rovers this season. With his contract up next summer, it seems unlikely that he’s going to get another go at Elland Road.

Douglas’ departure seems like it was a tough choice to make for Victor Orta, with the Spaniard even penning an open letter to him after he left, while Marcelo Bielsa also paid tribute to him.

However, after just 151 minutes of playing for Blackburn, it’s become very clear why United wanted rid of the Scot.

Indeed, despite the fact that Douglas has been described as a ‘top player’ in the past, it’s been quite evident that he doesn’t have what it takes to be a star at Premier League level.

In fact, it looks as though he’s even going to struggle at Championship level, he was absolutely woeful as Blackburn conceded four against Reading in midweek.

He was a part of a defence that shipped four goals and he made one error leading to a goal.

Ok, he made four tackles, but that wasn’t enough to stop the Reading onslaught and his WhoScored rating of just 5.83 underlines what was an all-round poor showing.

United’s decision to ditch Douglas in the summer must have been a tough one to make, but it seems as though it is a decision that has paid off.

Fortunately, Douglas is making those errors with Blackburn rather than with Leeds.
