أكد من جديد، الإسباني بيب جوارديولا، المدير الفني لنادي مانشستر سيتي، أنه يأمل أنّ يستمر ليونيل ميسي، أيقونة برشلونة في صفوف النادي الكتالوني، في ظل الأنباء التي تشير لرغبته في الرحيل.

ميسي منذ منتصف الموسم الماضي كان ينتقد الإدارة ولكن بشكل مبطن، لكن عقب الخروج المُذل من دوري الأبطال طلب الرحيل وارتبط بالانتقال لـ مانشستر سيتي.

وعقب ذلك دخل في خلافات مع جوسيب ماريا بارتوميو رئيس مجلس إدارة النادي السابق، ثم تراجع عن قراره بالرحيل بسبب قيمة الشرط الجزائي في عقده التي تبلغ 700 مليون يورو.

صحيفة “ذا صن” البريطانية، ذكرت أمس الخميس، أنّ مانشستر سيتي سيقدم عرضًا قيمته 50 مليون يورو، من أجل شراء ميسي، ومساعدة النادي الكتالوني في الأزمة الاقتصادية التي يُعاني منها بسبب جائحة كورونا (طالع التفاصيل).

وقال جوارديولا في تصريحات نشرتها شبكة “مانشستر إيفينينج نيوز” البريطانية ردًا على “هل ميسي قادم إلى سيتي؟: “ميسي لاعب لـ برشلونة”.

وأضاف: “إذا سألتني عن رأيي فإنني أشعر بامتنان كبير لما فعله برشلونة من أجلي، أريده أن ينهي مسيرته هناك”.

وواصل: “أتمنى أنّ يستمر هُناك، لقد قلت ذلك ألف مرة، أود كمشجع لبرشلونة أن ينهي مسيرته بعد ذلك”.

وأتم تصريحاته قائلًا: “أنا لا أعرف ما يدور في ذهنه، الآن هو لاعب لـ برشلونة، وأنا لا أستطيع أنّ أقول أي شيء آخر عن البقية”.

The hard work starts now for Manchester United and manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who will be desperate for a successful summer as he looks to overhaul his squad.

Plenty of player movement is expected at Old Trafford as Solskjaer gets to work on weeding out his squad, while he will also be on the lookout for a host of potential players to join the ranks and improve what has been a struggling United squad for some time now.

While there are bound to be a whole host of rumours over the summer, some of which will be taken with a pinch of salt, one of the big stories of this week has seen United linked with a £50m move for Crystal Palace duo Aaron Wan-Bisssaka and Patrick Van Aanholt, who enjoyed fine campaigns for the Eagles last year.

Both players could be exactly what United need if they are to get back to the days of playing attacking and free flowing football, and much like Pep Guardiola has done across the city, Solskjaer could well choose to place big emphasis on having capable attacking full-backs in his team.

Former Chelsea man Van Aanholt is the more experienced of the two, but has really come of age in the last 18 months, while Wan-Bissaka has been a revelation since making the step into the Palace first team this season and never looking back.

United need to establish an identity in their play again and ensure teams fear coming to Old Trafford rather than relishing it, and the signings of young attacking full-backs like this would be a massive step in the right direction.

Both players possess blistering pace and can get amongst the goals, and while defensively they might have work to do, that is something the United coaching staff would well work on and improve.

أبدى ستيف نيكول أسطورة فريق ليفربول، رأيه في إمكانية انتقال، مدافع ريال مدريد، سيرجيو راموس، لـ حمر الميرسيسايد، في نافذة الانتقالات الشتوية المُقبلة.

راموس عقده ينتهي مع ريال مدريد، في صيف العام القادم، 30 يونيو 2021، وحتى الآن لم يُجدد عقده مع النادي الملكي.

ليفربول ارتبط بإمكانية ضم مدافعين جدد، حيث يفتقد لجهود الهولندي فان دايك، الذي أجرى عملية جراحية وسيغيب حتى نهاية الموسم الجاري، إلى جانب جو جوميز، الذي خضع أيضًا لعملية جراحية ولن يكون قادرًا على المشاركة هذا الموسم.

نيكول يرى أنّ يجب على ليفربول التعاقد مع مدافع شاب، ليكون جاهزًا حال حدوث أي انتكاسات دفاعية أخرى، بدلًا من التعاقد مع مدافع كبير في السن، مثل راموس الذي يمكنه الرحيل في الشتاء القادم.

وقال نيكول في تصريحات نشرتها صحيفة “ليفربول إيكو” البريطانية: “إذا تعرض فان دايك لانتكاسة أو جو جوميز، أو حدث أي شيء، فأنا أفضل اختيار مدافع شاب مثل أوباميكانو”.

وأضاف: “دايوت لا يزال صغيرًا، يبلغ من العمر 21 عامًا، وسيكون في ليفربول لعقد من الزمن، ولكن إذا لم يتمكنوا من ضمه، عليك النظر لخيارات أخرى”.

وواصل: “بكل تأكيد من الأفضل ضم لاعب أصغر سنًا، والبعض يرى ذلك لتجنب الثغرات ويجب ضم مدافع لديه خبرة”.

وأتم تصريحاته قائلًا: “إذا تعاقدوا مع راموس على سبيل المثال، فذلك سيكون لمدة عامين فقط، سيأتي من أجل فعل شيء مُحدد، لن يكون توقيع سيئ!، سيفعل عملًا!”.

Maxi Gomez has been a target for many big clubs as of late and a recent Daily Star report further confirms this thesis, putting the young striker in the jaws of Tottenham Hotspur among the interest of some other clubs.

Spurs are reportedly leading the pack in the efforts to sign the talented Uruguayan but only partly because Liverpool have chosen to opt out of the brawl, which is an interesting turn of events in itself.

So what’s the word?

The latest report coming from the Daily Star claims that Tottenham Hotspur are now leading in the race for the Celta Vigo ace after Liverpool chose to back away.

Gomez has impressively bagged 13 goals and provided five assists in the 2018/19 campaign and his £43m release clause might be his ticket into the Premier League.

While Spurs could really use a striker of Gomez’s credentials and talent, the Reds might have made a real statement following their bold choice of dropping the pursuit altogether.

Right call from Liverpool

It seems that Gomez would join Tottenham purely as a Harry Kane’s substitution and, of course, a bet for the future once he develops enough to warrant a better position within the squad. Liverpool, on the hand, might also have made the right call by opting out of this race.

Gomez is definitely a gem worth polishing and one that almost any big team could use but Jurgen Klopp might not need that at the moment. What he could probably use more is a well-rounded forward with enough experience and skill to either replicate or complement the impact of Roberto Firmino.

Chasing young starlets is a great way to bank on the future but Liverpool would profit more from a developed striker that gives established quality right here and right now, especially considering the Reds only need a piece or two to fully complete the jigsaw and push Man City even closer next season.

After all, they are not among the biggest spenders in the Premier League and they often choose their targets rather carefully. Rushing into a transfer scramble with Spurs, for a player who still needs some time to develop, doesn’t do anybody on Merseyside any favours.

Nervous?

As you’ll know and probably be trying not to think about right now, Aston Villa’s fate will be sealed in a number of days and the tension is becoming unbearable. Why, oh why, is football so stressful?

Indeed, it could be Villa’s second successive play-off final loss, or their greatest day in recent memory (probably not just that recent, anymore) that grants them access back into the Premier League for the first time since 2016. Still, whatever happens, the turnaround that Dean Smith and his team managed to produce was sensational and they will surely feel that alone could see them past Derby.

On the day of a final, anything is possible but after, attention straight away must turn to the transfer window and who could strengthen their team for either the Premier League or Championship. So, reports from the Daily Mail earlier this week already suggesting that Aston Villa could conduct some shrewd, early business with the capture of Luton’s left-back James Justin hit the right notes, we believe.

The 19-year-old, (who is valued at £23k on Transfermarkt) was sensational for the Hatters as they gained promotion to the Championship as League One champions this season. Indeed, he amassed 43 appearances in the league and had a hand in eleven goals, 3 himself whilst setting up eight others.

That’s pretty good going for a youngster in such a physically demanding league and the kind of dynamic vibrancy he showed all season long would easily translate to a step (or two) up in division, should he be given the time. Obviously, full-backs are HUGELY important to the modern game and securing one of such promise would be both a major statement in the market (considering the fact Leicester are also linked in the same report) and a sensible move.

The EFL Young Player of the Year has the potential to get much better and would already be considered an upgrade on Neil Taylor, judging purely on the season he has just endured. While it could be a costly deal and there will be a lot of competition to sign him but Dean Smith would love to finally have James Justin in his squad for next season.

Henderson had previously been the subject of an attempted swap deal with former Fulham striker Clint Dempsey, and had also endured four cup final losses already as a Liverpool player, so watching him lift the cup in Madrid was a beautiful moment involving the captain.

You could see the emotion in the Sunderland academy graduate’s face as he lifted the famous trophy, and he was in tears as he hugged his dad in what was a truly special moment.

According to TF1, via Get French Football News, Manchester United and Everton are in talks with Adrien Rabiot over a move for the midfielder this summer.

However, interestingly, the same report has claimed that the Paris Saint-Germain ace would actually like to join Liverpool.

There are no indications that the Reds have made a move for Rabiot, who will be a free agent when his PSG contract expires at the end of this month.

However, the Liverpool fans have been on social media discussing a potential swoop for the 24-year-old ahead of the 2019-20 campaign.

There are some supporters who would be interested in a deal for Rabiot, although not everyone shares the same opinion when it comes to the Frenchman.

It would be some story if Liverpool, who won the 2019 Champions League on Saturday night, swooped in to land the 6 ft 2 ace ahead of their two biggest rivals.
