Emirates Stadium history
For younger fans, it's hard to image Arsenal playing anywhere other than at the Emirates; after all, the club have been playing games there since the summer of 2006, meaning there will be adults today who have no recollection of the Gunners at Highbury – feel old yet?
That said, for the vast majority of their history, Arsenal were based at Highbury, and so when plans were announced for a new 60,000-seater modern arena in 1999, there was some understandable scepticism among the supporters.
The club pushed ahead anyway, and with funding secured, work began in 2004, and just two years later, the ground was officially opened.
The first game took place on 22nd July 2006 and was a testimonial for Arsenal legend Dennis Bergkamp. With the ground completed, the team moved in, and while it was an undeniably impressive place to watch football, it forced the club to restrain itself in the transfer market for years to come.
It wasn't quite love at first sight for the fans, though, and a decade and a half of underwhelming results certainly didn't help in that regard.
Still, in the last couple of years, under Mikel Arteta and with this set of players, the stadium has found a genuine voice of its own and has started to finally feel like home.
Emirates Stadium capacity
The Emirates Stadium might have seen some other grounds leapfrog it in terms of capacity in the last 10-15 years, but it still comes in as the fourth-biggest in the Premier League and the fifth-biggest football-specific stadium in all of England.
It also comes in as the fourth-largest in London, behind Wembley Stadium, the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and the London Stadium.
The Emirates is significantly larger than its predecessor, though, as Highbury had a capacity of around 38,500 when Arsenal left.

How to get to the Emirates Stadium By train
Three London Underground stations serve the area around Arsenal's Emirates stadium, two of which serve National Rail lines, with one of those also using the London Overground:
Arsenal (Piccadilly Line): Arsenal is the closest station to the Emirates, and as such, it will almost always be the busiest on matchdays. That said, walking to the stadium should take you approximately five minutes, making it worth the crowds for convenience. Finsbury Park (Victoria, Piccadilly Lines and Great Northern Rail): If you are walking to the stadium from Finsbury Park station, it should take you approximately 16 minutes to reach the Emirates at an average pace. Highbury & Islington (Victoria Line, Norther London Line, and Great Northern Rail): If you are walking to the stadium from Highbury & Islington station, it should take you approximately 15 minutes to arrive at the Emirates.
If you want to avoid using the train on matchdays, there are plenty of buses that serve the area. The closest bus stops are on Holloway Road, Nag's Head, Seven Sisters Road, Blackstock Road and Highbury Corner.
By car

Driving to the Emirates on matchdays will likely cause more headaches than it is worth, and as such, the club themselves have even advised against it.
The area around the stadium is residential, meaning there are even fewer parking options than other grounds in the country and cars parked illegally will be towed.
That said, sometimes you have to drive, and if that's the case, your best bet for parking would be to either try and book a parking space through the club. Failing that, you'll have to pay the huge cost of parking in one of the surrounding private spaces, or using the Kingsland Shopping Centre which is situated two miles from the ground.
The away end at the Emirates Stadium
Arsenal usually accommodate up to 3,000 away fans in the lower southeast corner of the stadium, right next to the Clock End.
The proximity to the Gunners' most passionate fans can help to create an exciting atmosphere, and the vicinity to the pitch means that should your team score, the players can easily reach the fans.
Away fans get a brilliant view from their seats, and while the stadium is approaching its 20th birthday, it still has a lot of modern amenities to make it a pleasant experience for the fans.

Earlier, a number of Pakistan batsmen got going without scoring big as they put up a competitive score. Javeria Khan hit 26, captain Bismah Maroof 31, Nida 25 not out and Aliya Riaz an unbeaten 23 in just 13 balls. Selman conceded just 18 runs from her four overs for one wicket, while Dottin got 2 for 26.Dottin was on song at the start of the West Indian reply too, hitting 22 in 24 balls in an opening stand of 30 in five-and-a-half overs with Kycia Knight. After she was dismissed by the impressive Anam Amin, Knight and Shemaine Campbelle, who top-scored with 41, built a strong platform with a stand of 54 runs.But Pakistan hit back after that as West Indies went from 82 for 1 at the start of the 15th over to 120 for 5 when the final over started. Erik ten Hag’s team is seventh in the Premier League after 17 matches, but their seven losses show that this season has been far from smooth sailing.
The only positive from this season for Manchester United is that they have only conceded 1.24 goals per game on average, and Andre Onana has the joint most clean sheets.
However, the fact that United have been forced to field 35-year-old Jonny Evans six times this season in the Premier League highlights the need for centre-back reinforcements.
Man Utd transfers latest – Jean-Clair Todibo
Fabrizio Romano took to X this week to state that Jean-Clair Todibo has been on Man United’s list of transfer targets since June.

According to Transfermarkt, the Nice defender has a value of £30m, but the French side are reportedly asking for at least £35m.
However, the 23-year-old has also been linked with Tottenham Hotspur, and the London club has recently opened talks with Todibo, but the deal is expected to be complex.

United legend Nemanja Vidic joined the club halfway through the 2005/06 Premier League season for £7m and the Red Devils could repeat that trick by signing Todibo in January, who has the potential to transform the United backline just like the Serbian did during his eight-year spell at Old Trafford.
The ex-Barcelona defender has the perfect blend of on-the-ball ability, defensive security, and athleticism, which makes the centre-back a complete player who can fit in any system. Furthermore, according to Football Talent Scout Jacek Kulig, Todibo is “one of the most underrated CBs in Europe,” and based on the table below that shows his stats compared to centre-backs in the top European leagues, it is difficult to disagree.

Todibo would slot into the right centre-back position at United and instantly elevate the team's ability to progress the play through the defence. The signing of Onana in the summer indicated that Ten Hag wishes to use his keeper in buildup and when playing out from the back, however, some of the current crop isn't equipped for the philosophy.
As you can see by the stats, the France star is among the most elite defenders for his ball-playing skills. Luke Shaw is currently the only defender that can consistently and effectively progress the play in the backline, and Todibo could take on a similar role to what Jurien Timber did under Ten Hag at Ajax.

Lisandro Martinez is also set to return soon, and he would walk straight into the left centre-back role. Due to the Argentine’s lack of speed and ability to cover ground, Todibo would be the perfect partner for United’s number six, as he has the capacity to use his acceleration to recover quickly and stop dribblers in transition.
Overall, Todibo is the definition of a Ten Hag signing, and he would form a formidable partnership with Martinez. The duo would tick every box and allow the boss to play much closer to the style he impressed with at Ajax. At just £35m, the 23-year-old would be an absolute bargain and transform United.

Em entrevista publicada no Twitter oficial do Timão, Danilo falou da importância desses jogos-treino durante a preparação para o Campeonato Brasileiro da categoria, que tem estreia programada somente para junho. De acordo com o treinador, testes como esse mantêm os jogadores ativos.
– Foi um jogo muito bom, a gente vem de um período de treinamento de 25 dias já, e esses jogos-treino são uma base muito boa para a gente definir a equipe. Lógico que o Campeonato Brasileiro ainda está longe, estreia só em junho, mas eu acho que esses jogos de alto nível, como o de hoje contra o Marília, são fundamentais para a gente manter os meninos ativos – comentou.
Danilo também ponderou a diferença que é o ritmo de treino e o ritmo de jogo, além disso exaltou a qualidade do time profissional do Marília, que fez um duelo duro e teve até a oportunidade de virar o placar no segundo tempo. Para ele, isso engrandece ainda mais a atuação do Corinthians sub-23 neste sábado.
-Treinar é uma coisa, jogar é outra, então hoje a equipe foi muito bem, contra uma equipe muito boa do Marília, e conseguimos fazer um grande jogo.
